Ambassador Adhikari presenting his letters of credence to H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of Türkiye
His Excellency Mr. Tapas Adhikari, Ambassador of Nepal to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, presented his Letters of Credence to His Excellency Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Türkiye, accrediting him as non-resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Nepal to the Republic of Türkiye, amidst a special ceremony held at the President Palace in Ankara today.
During the programme, Ambassador Adhikari conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes of Right Honorable President Mr. Ram Chandra Poudel, and the Right Honorable Prime Minister Mr. Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ as well as from the people of Nepal for the personal health and happiness of the President of the Republic of Türkiye and for the continued progress and prosperity of friendly people of Türkiye.
His Excellency the President of the Republic of Türkiye welcomed and congratulated His Excellency Mr. Adhikari as Ambassador of Nepal to Türkiye. His Excellency the President asked the Ambassador to convey his greetings and best wishes to the Right Honorable President of Nepal, the Right Honorable Prime Minister of Nepal and people of Nepal for their continued progress and prosperity.
Ambassador Mr. Adhikari expressed that the bilateral relationship between Nepal and Türkiye are based on mutual trust and cooperation, and have always been friendly. He further said that Nepal and Türkiye are working together in the United Nations and other important international forums on various issues of common interests. Ambassador Mr. Adhikari also said that he would continue to make sincere efforts to further enhance bilateral relations between the two countries.
Senior government officials of the Presidential Palace and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye were also present during the ceremony.
Upon the arrival at the Palace, national anthem of Nepal and Turkey were played, and guard of honour by a contingent of army was presented to Ambassador Adhikari.
The Embassy of Nepal in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Islamabad is concurrently accredited to the Republic of Türkiye.
