Mr. Tapas Adhikari has assumed the responsibility of Ambassador of Nepal to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on 7 November 2020.
Mr. Adhikari joined Nepal Foreign Service in November 1995. During his career, he has served in Nepali Missions abroad in New York, Kolkata and Tokyo. During his stint in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he held a variety of positions in various Divisions and Departments of the Ministry. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Adhikari served as Joint Secretary/Head of South East Asia and the Pacific (SEAP) Division from April 2018 to October 2020.
He has attended a number of high-level meetings of regional and international organizations including summit meetings as a member of the Nepali delegation.
Mr. Adhikari has earned his Master’s degree in Political Science and Public Administration from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu. He has participated in various international training and short courses including in the UN Disarmament fellowship programme.
He is married with two children.
