Press Release on Presentation of Letters of Credence by HE Ambassador of Nepal to HE the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran

His Excellency Mr. Tapas Adhikari, Ambassador of Nepal to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan has presented his Letters of Credence to His Excellency Ayatollah Seyed Ibrahim Raisi, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran accrediting him as non-resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Nepal to the Islamic Republic of Iran, amidst a special ceremony held at the Presidential Palace, Tehran, today.

During the presentation, Ambassador Adhikari conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes of Right Honorable President Mrs. Bidya Devi Bhandari, and the Right Honorable Prime Minister Mr. Sher Bahadur Deuba as well as from the people of Nepal for the personal health and happiness of the President of Iran and continued progress and prosperity of friendly people of Iran.

His Excellency the President welcomed and congratulated His Excellency Mr. Adhikari as Ambassador of Nepal to Iran. His Excellency the President asked the Ambassador to convey his greetings and best wishes to the Right Honorable President of Nepal, the Right Honorable Prime Minister of Nepal and friendly people of Nepal for their continued progress and prosperity.

Ambassador Mr. Adhikari expressed that the bilateral relationship between Nepal and Iran have always been friendly based on mutual trust and cooperation. He said that Nepal and Iran are working together in Non-Aligned Movement, Group of 77, United Nations and other important international forums on various issues of common concerns. Ambassador Mr. Adhikari further said that he would make sincere efforts to enhance bilateral relations between Nepal and Iran.

Senior government officials of the Presidential Palace, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, were also present during the ceremony.

The Embassy of Nepal in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Islamabad is concurrently accredited to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
